DHAKA, Dec 31, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of Environment (DoE) has postponed its recruitment examination scheduled to be held on January 2.
The information was disclosed on Tuesday through a notification signed by Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Director (Administration) of the Department of Environment and Member Secretary of the Divisional Selection Committee.
According to the notification, the written examination for recruitment against 188 vacant posts under 16 categories in the revenue sector of the department has been postponed.
The posts include Upper Division Assistant, Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist, Driver, Process Server and Cash Sarkar.
The decision was taken as the government has declared three days of state mourning following the demise of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at 6:00am on December 30, the notification said.
In this context, the written examination of the Department of Environment, scheduled to be held at Lalmatia Sarkari Mohila College in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, from 10:00am on January 2, 2026, has been postponed until further notice.
The revised date and time of the examination will be announced later through the DoE's official website, notice board and SMS notifications to candidates, the notification added.
