Expulsion orders of 10 Khulna BNP leaders withdrawn

KHULNA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) – The expulsion orders of 10 leaders of the Khulna BNP and its associate organizations have been withdrawn.

The information was disclosed in a press release signed by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday.

However, among those whose expulsion orders were withdrawn, the withdrawal of one leader’s expulsion has been kept suspended.

According to the press release, leaders from various levels of Khulna City and District BNP were earlier expelled on charges of involvement in anti-organizational activities.

Following their appeals, the party decided to withdraw their expulsion orders. The leaders whose expulsion orders were withdrawn are: Sheikh Iqbal Hossain, former vice-president of Khulna City BNP; Mahabub Kaiser, former joint secretary; Mahbub Hasan Piaru, joint convener of Khulna City BNP; Majeda Khatun, assistant secretary for women’s affairs of Sadar Thana BNP; Sheikh Musfikur Hasan Abhi, former office secretary of City JCD; Imran Hossain, assistant organizational secretary of JCD; and Salauddin Nannu, former joint convener of Sundarban Adarsha College JCD.

In addition, the expulsion orders of Mozammel Hossain Sheikh, former convener of Chalna Municipal BNP in Dakope upazila; Khairul Islam Khan Jony, former convener of Batiaghata Upazila BNP; and Advocate Sheikh Abdur Rashid, former general secretary of Koyra Upazila BNP have also been withdrawn.

However, in another press release signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, it was stated that the withdrawal of the expulsion of Mahbub Hasan Piaru, joint convener of City BNP, announced on November 26, was made by mistake, and the decision has now been suspended.
