Kamil exam results of IAU published with 89.82pc pass rate

DHAKA, May 10, 2026 (BSS) - The results of the Kamil (postgraduate) examination-2024 under the Islamic Arabic University (IAU) have been published with an average pass rate of 89.82 percent.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Abu Jafar Khan formally announced the results this afternoon.

Earlier, Controller of Examinations and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Shahidul Islam handed over a copy of the results to the Vice-Chancellor.

According to a university press release, a total of 42,339 examinees from 167 centres across the country took part in the Kamil first year and final year examinations this year. Of them, 37,622 students passed.

The pass rate in the first year stood at 83.51 percent, while the final year recorded a pass rate of 96.12 percent. The examinations were held from January 3 to February 9.

In the merit list of the final year, Darunnajat Siddiqia Kamil Madrasa of Dhaka, Charkhina Darus Sunnat Kamil Madrasa of Pirojpur and Jhalakathi N.S. Kamil Madrasa secured the top positions.

Besides, in the first year merit list, Baytush Sharaf Adarsha Kamil Madrasa of Chattogram, Government Madrasa-e-Alia Dhaka and Jamea Ahmadia Sunnia Kamil Madrasa of Chattogram secured the top positions.

While publishing the results, Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Abu Jafar Khan congratulated the successful students.

He said publishing the results accurately within a short time under the university's own management is a major achievement. "Our goal is to ensure timely examinations and a session jam-free education system," he added.
