DHAKA, Dec 7, 2022 (BSS) - The government has appointed Shafiul Azim as the new Managing Director of state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today in this regard.

The notification was signed by senior assistant secretary Kaniz Fatema as per the order of President Md Abdul Hamid.

Shafiul Azim replaced Zahid Hossain, who served as the managing director and CEO of the national flag carrier for less than five months.
 
Prior to his new appointment, Azim was the additional secretary attached to the cabinet division.
