BRUR VC for readiness to face 4IR challenges

RANGPUR, Nov 30, 2022 (BSS) - Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid has stressed on readiness to face challenges of the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) to build a developed Bangladesh by 2041 next.
 
“In the current era of information and technology, competition is being observed in all fields. Bangladesh is moving ahead in development in keeping with the rest of the world. So why, we all have to be prepared from our respective positions,” he said.
 
He was addressing a training workshop on “Professional Conduct and Integrity of Officials” organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university at the Virtual Classroom of the Academic Building on Tuesday as the chief guest.
 
With Director of the IQAC Professor Dr. Abu Kalam Md. Farid Ul Islam in the chair, Pro Vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dina and its Treasurer Professor Dr. Mojib Uddin Ahmad attended the event as special guests.
 
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam and Jahangirnagar University's former Registrar Abu Bakar Siddique were resource persons in the workshop.
 
Moderated by IQAC Additional Director Md. Abdul Latif, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and IQAC Additional Director Md. Shariful Islam gave a welcome speech.
 
The Vice-chancellor said to the participating officials that they should spontaneously participate in all activities to make the university unique in the country.
 
“For this, everyone has to work sincerely from their respective positions,” he said and expressed his gratitude to everyone as the four-year session jam was freed in the university in the last just one and a half years,” he added.
