DHAKA, Nov 20, 2022 (BSS) - Korean Embassy in Dhaka is holding a three-day Korean Film Festival in Chattogram for the first time from December 1 to 3.

Chattogram City Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury is likely to be the chief guest of the fest to be held at the Theater Institute of Chattogram while Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun will also attend as a special guest, a Korean embassy press release said here today.
 
Five movies, "Escape from Mogadishu", "The Dude in Me", "The Battle of Gangsari", "Underdog" and "The Age of Shadows" will be displayed during the festival.

The movies are also displayed during the 2022 Korean Film Festival in November in Dhaka.

Apart from the film screening other cultural events like K-pop singing and dance performance, ramp walk, Korean food stalls etc will be organized to bring the K-culture lovers closure to the Korean Community of the country's large port city.

Next year, Bangladesh and Korea are set to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, and to celebrate the occasion, cultural exchange between the two countries will be increased through special events, the release said.
