DHAKA, Nov 12, 2022 9BSS) - Social welfare minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed today said the government has a plan to increase the allowance and other facilities for the people with disabilities.

 
"The allowance and facilities for people with disabilities will be increased in phases," he said while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the automation plant of Mukta Drinking Water in Gazipur.

He said the government has been proving training and creating jobs to rehabilitate people with disabilities as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much sympathetic to them.

"The present government is committed to bringing all people lagging behind to the mainstream of development and to that end, special training is being given to people with disabilities," he said while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the automation plant of Mukta Drinking Water at Gazipur.

Social welfare secretary Md Jahangir Alam presided over the event while state minister for social welfare Md Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru was present as special guest.

Nuruzzaman said the government is giving cent percent allowance to people with disabilities and vocational training is being imparted to rehabilitate people with disabilities.
