DHAKA, Nov 12, 2022 (BSS) - Police arrested a total of 32 people, including BNP leader and former ward councilor Abul Kalam Azad, from city's Mohakhali area last night.

Md Hafizur Rahman, officer in charge of Kafrul police station confirmed the matter to BSS today, saying that police raided the food court of SKS Tower in Mohakhali area and nabbed them around 10pm.

The law enforcers said that the arrested were allegedly holding a secret meeting on anti-government conspiracy there. 

One of the arrestee was former councilor of Ward Number-20 and former president of Banani Thana unit of BNP Abul Kalam Azad, the police sources added.
