BOGURA, Nov 7, 2022 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) will distribute seeds and fertilizers free of cost as agricultural incentives among 46,200 small and marginal farmers during the current season of the district.

Additional Deputy Director of the DAE Enamul Haque said the incentives, in terms of seeds and fertilisers, will be distributed among the beneficiary farmers to assist them in cultivating seven varieties of crops during the current season.

Seeds and fertilizers worth Taka 3, 59, 93100 will be distributed among 46,200 small and marginal farmers under the agricultural incentive and rehabilitation programme in the current season with a view to increasing the production of wheat, corn, mustard, sunflower, onion, mug dal and mushur dal, he said.

For wheat cultivation, each farmer will get 20-kg wheat seed, 10-kg DAP, 10-kg MOP fertilizer and for maize cultivation, 2-kg maize seed, 20-kg DAP and 10-kg MOP fertilizer will be provided each farmer and mustard cultivation each farmer will get 10 kgs of DAP and 10 kgs of MOP fertilizer.

10-kg DAP fertilizer and 10-kg MOP fertilizer will be given for sunflower cultivation for 120 bigha land and 10-kg DAP fertilizer and 10-kg MOP fertilizer will be given to 410 farmers of 410 bigha of land for onion cultivation.

10-kg DAP fertilizer and 5-kg MOP fertilizer will be given each farmer for cultivation of 500 bighas of Mungdal and, 5 kgs of seed and 10 kgs of DAP fertilizer and 5 kgs of MOP fertilizer will be given each farmer for Mushur dal cultivation.
