Meeting of Bangladesh-India Maitri Samity held in city

 
DHAKA, Nov 5, 2022 (BSS) – A meeting of the central executive committee of Bangladesh-India (Bharat) Maitri Samity (Friendship Association) and its advisory council (Upodeshta Parishad) was held at the conference room of the National Museum in city's Shahbagh area this morning.
 
In the meeting, various programmes were adopted including making Bangladesh-India Friendship Association activities more dynamic, increasing nationwide organizational activities, celebrating Bangladesh-India Friendship Day and celebrating the Great Victory Day, a press release said.
 
With organization's president and war-wounded freedom fighter Md Rashidul Alam in the chair, the meeting was conducted by its general secretary Narayan Saha Moni, the release added.
 
Presidium member of the organization and the chairman of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Home Affairs Benjir Ahmed, MP, advisers of the organization Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Mofazzor Hossain Paltu, Justice Md Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, ambassador Waliur Rahman and presidium member of the organization Bir Muktijodha Md Abdul Haque spoke, among others, on the occasion.
 
Speakers in the meeting expressed their strong optimism that the Bangladesh-India Maitri Samity will continue to maintain the relationship of mutual friendship between Bangladesh and India.
