DHAKA, Oct 13, 2022 (BSS) - Election Commission (EC) has formed a three-member probe committee to investigate the irregularities in the Gaibandha-5 (Saghata-Fulchhari upazila) constituency by-polls which was withheld on Wednesday.

The committee is led by EC Secretariat Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath while two other members are EC Secretariat Joint Secretary (Administration and Finance) Md Kamal Uddin Biswas and Joint Secretary (Election Management-1) Md Shahedunnabi Chowdhury, said S M Asaduzzaman, EC Secretariat Joint Secretary and Director (Public Relations) today.

The committee has been asked to submit its investigation report within the next seven working days.
