DHAKA, Oct 8, 2022 (BSS) - The 12th death anniversary of Awami League (AL) leader Ataur Rahman Khan Kaisar, a prominent politician and one of the organizers of the great Liberation War, will be observed tomorrow.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on October 9 in 2010. Ataur was seriously injured in a fatal road accident at Chawkaria on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway while he was going to Cox's Bazar for organizational works.

On the occasion of his 12th death anniversary, a month-long prayer, distribution of food to the poor and orphans, distribution of books to students and health care camps have been taken.

Ataur Rahman, father of Waseqa Ayesha Khan, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and AL Central Committee Finance and Planning Secretary, requested all to pray for the soul of her father.
