NARSINGDI, Oct 2, 2022 (BSS) - At least four people were killed and four others injured in a road accident at Raipura upazila of the district this morning.

Three of the deceased were identified as Siddique and Abul Kalam, residents of Raipura, and Siddique, a resident of Belabo area.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Machineghor bus stand area at about 8 am when a Sylhet-bound goods-laden truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving two of its passengers dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Highway Police Mozammel Hossen.

Then, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and entered a vegetable market, leaving one dead on the spot and five others injured.

Another person died on the way to the hospital.
