PABNA, Sept, 24, 2022 (BSS) -  Pabna district Awami League has expressed its gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and accorded a public reception to Shamsul Haque Tuku, a member of parliament (MP) from Pabna-1constituency and  a former state minister for home affairs, who has been elected as the deputy speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
 
Pabna district Awami League organized the mass reception at Rafiqul Islam Bakul Swadhinata Chattar. People from all strata, including members of district units of Awami League, Jubo League, Bangladesh Chhatra League, Krishak League, Mohila Awami League, Youth Women League and Sramik League participated in the reception this afternoon.
 
On the occasion, Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku said, Prime Minister has honored 30 lakh people of Pabna by electing me as the deputy speaker. The instructions of the Prime Minister should be obeyed for the development of the country and for maintaining party discipline.
 
Member of Parliament for Pabna-5 constituency and Pabna District Awami League General Secretary Golam Farooq Prince, Member of Parliament for Pabna-4 constituency, Bir Muktijoddha Nuruzzaman Biswas, Member of Parliament  for  Pabna-Sirajganj Women Reserve seats Nadira Yasmin Jolly, Advocate Abdul Ahad Babu, Awami League supported candidate for upcoming Zila Parishad election Bir Muktijoddha ASM Abdur Rahim Pakon, among others, spoke on the occasion while Pabna District Awami League President and Zila Parishad Administrator Rezaul Rahim Lal was in the chair.
 
Pabna Zila Muktijoddha Sangsad, mayor, Upazila Parishad, various educational institutions, labor organizations, non-governmental organizations, Awami League and its affiliated organizations, people of various professions accorded reception to the newly elected Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku with bouquets of flowers.
