DHAKA, Sept 20, 2022 (BSS) - Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee today
strongly protested the anti-state movement of BNP and the party's affection
towards Pakistan in the name of staging demonstrations against the
government.
A total of 90 renowned personalities including central leaders of Ekattorer
Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee in a joint statement today said, "We observe
with grave concern that the BNP's anti-state and anti-Liberation War
activities in the name waging of anti-government movement are not only
confusing the young generation but also encouraging the identified enemies of
the Liberation War".
They vehemently criticized BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam
Alamgir's statement that stated "We are much better during Pakistan period"
and said his (Fakhrul) comment is a part of a "conspiracy to transform
Bangladesh into a militant fundamentalist and failed state like Pakistan".
The personalities urged the young generation to remain aware of the
conspiracies of the pro-Pakistan BNP-Jamaat clique.
They also urged the BNP secretary general to cut off all open and secret
communication with war criminal Pakistan, also responsible for the 1971
genocide, and to refrain from making statements that harm the achievements
and dignity of Bangladesh, which was earned at the cost of the blood of 30
lakh martyrs.
The renowned dignitaries are Justice Mohammad Glam Rabbani, Justice Shamsul
Huda, Justice Mohammad Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury
Manik, Barrister Shafique Ahmed, Professor Anupan Sen, dramatist and valiant
freedom fighter Ramendu Majumdar, journalist Abed Khan, filmmaker and valiant
freedom fighter Nasir Uddin Yousuf, writer and journalist Shahriar Kabir,
Professor Muntasir Mamoon and Professor Zafar Iqbal, among others.
