RANGPUR, Sept 5, 2022 (BSS) - A seminar on 'Evolution of Bengali Language' organized by the Department of Bengali of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) was held at Heyat Mamud Bhaban on the university campus today.
 
Head of Department of Bangla and Dean of Faculty of Arts of BRUR Professor Dr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman (Tuhin Wadud) presided over the seminar.
 
Pro Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dina inaugurated the seminar participated by the students of different semesters of Department of Bengali of the university.
 
Linguistics Expert and Professor of the Department of Bengali Rajshahi University Dr. P.M. Shafiqul Islam attended the event as the Keynote Speaker.
 
Associate Professor of the Department of Bengali of BRUR Dr. Nitya Ghosh moderated the event.
 
Professor of the Department of Bengali of BRUR Professor Dr. Rishin Parimal gave the closing speech at the event.
 
Earlier, Professor Dr. P.M. Shafiqul Islam was greeted with a bouquet on his arrival at the seminar venue.
