TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Sept 3, 2022 (BSS) - The newly elected Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Md Shamsul Haque Tuku, MP, today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

After laying the wreath, he stood in solemn silence for sometime as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, he offered doa seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who embraced martyrdom in the August 15 carnage.

A special prayer was also offered for the sound health and long life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The deputy speaker also signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.
