DHAKA, Aug 24, 2022 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md Mokbul Hossain today said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had prepared the Bangalee nation throughout his life for independence of the country. 

"It was reflected through Bangabandhu's historic March 7 speech," he told the inaugural function of a short film "Judhya Joyer Koshore Nayak" at National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

He said Bangalee nation had participated in Liberation War with the directives of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Md Mokbul Hossain said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had interest in film industry. 

"Now the industry has been witnessing crisis due to various problems. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken initiative for development of the film industry. The government provides lone for making film every year," he said. 

Awami League (AL) Leader Nuh-UL-Alam Lenin, actress Golam Forida Sonda, Director Shayla Rahman Tithi and storyteller Pasha Mostafa Kamal, among others, spoke on the occasion.
