Deaths in Bhola are victims of BNP's dirty politics: Hasan

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 3, 2022 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said the two persons who died in the recent Bhola incident were the worst victims of BNP' dirty politics.

"The politics of BNP has been established on dead body and, for this, they want deaths. And their activities increase in the month of August. For this, BNP staged the violence with police in Bhola. BNP is solely responsible for the deaths," he said.

The minister told reporters while replying to a query over 'hartal' in Bhola called by BNP after visiting Bangladesh Betar Chattagram centre this evening.

Hasan said BNP would try to create dead body through such violence across the country and the recent speeches of BNP secretary general Fakhrul Islam has proved it. But, the countrymen wouldn't give them such scope, he added.

He said Ziaur Rahman had captured power through killing and run the state by standing on the dead bodies of the members of armed forces. Nineteen cues had been took place and Ziaur Rahman killed hundreds of soldiers of armed forces, said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary.

Even, the minister said, Zia killed hundreds of leaders and activists of Awami League. Later, Begum Zia also followed him (Zia) and the nation has seen their arson terrorism in 2013, 2014 and 2015, he added.

He said shops were vandalised and bricks were thrown and opened fire on police from the BNP's rally in Bhola. Even, a policeman received injuries, he said, adding that the police have taken steps for self-defence.

He said the doctors, in a primary report, have claimed that the member of BNP's associate body died from head injury on July 31, that means, he died due to a hit of bricks, Hasan added.
