DHAKA, July 19, 2022 (BSS) - The 19th death anniversary of journalist and language veteran Mizanur Rahman will be observed today.
 
To mark the anniversary, milad mahfil and discussion will be arranged in Dhaka and Gazipur.

 Journalist Mizanur Rahman Memorial Council will arrange a milad mahfil at Jatiya Press Club mosque after Asr prayers while doa mahfil will also be arranged by the family of the journalist.
 
Mizanur Rahman died of old-age complications on July 19 in 2003. Before his death, he retired from the post of business editor at the national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
 
Earlier, he served different important positions including chief reporter at daily Ittefaq and chief editor of Bangladesh Press International (BPI).
 
In his career, he worked for the welfare of the country getting affection from Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani and Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq.
 
During his student life at Dhaka College, he served different positions in Dhaka district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
