DHAKA, July 16, 2022 (BSS)- Azim Uddin Ahmed, an ex member of the advisory council of Purbadhala Upazila unit of Awami League (AL) of Netrakona district and founding president of Purbadhala Jaria Union of AL, died of old-age complications while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital this morning at the age of 92.
  
Azim, who was also a prominent Language Movement veteran and one of the organizers of the Great War of Liberation, is survived by six sons and three daughters.
  
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Azim Uddin Ahmed.
 
 He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
