Rezaul lauds PM's role in development

DHAKA, July 8, 2022 (BSS) - Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim today appreciated the role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the country's ongoing uplift, saying her contrition is seen in development of all sectors.

"Sheikh Hasina is an example to us. Her contribution is found in the development of all sectors, including infrastructure, social development and economic development. She has also established her position outside the country," he told a reminiscence meeting.

The meeting was arranged at the Jatiya Press Club marking the second death anniversary of late AL presidium member and former home minister Sahara Khatun.

Rezaul said Sheikh Hasina has been called the voice of the victims as she has played a strong role in the global climate summits.

Sheikh Hasina has been recognised as the 'mother of humanity' for giving shelter to forcibly displaced Rohingya population in Bangladesh, he said.

Chaired by Deputy Attorney General Advocate Kazi Shahnara Yasmin, the memorial meeting, was addressed, among others, by former vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Dr AKM Nurun Nabi, professor of Sanskrit Department at Dhaka University Dr Asim Sarkar, legal affairs secretary of Dhaka South City Awami League Advocate Jaglul Kabir and general secretary of Zillur Rahman Parishad Akhtauzzaman Khoka and vice-president of Dhaka Union of Journalists Manik Lal Ghosh.
