Dhaka, June 28, 2022 (BSS) - The Air Force Women's Welfare Association
(BAFWA), today handed over relief goods for the flood hit people in Sylhet.
BAFWA Central President Tahmida Hannan inaugurated the distribution of relief
items at the Tejgaon Old Airport this morning, said a press release.
Tahmida Hannan handed over various food items, medicines and water
purification tablets to the Sylhet-bound BAFWA team.
The relief program would continue alongside the Air Force's relief efforts.
Relief activities would be conducted in Gaibandha, Sirajganj and other flood
affected areas of the country including Sylhet region.
BAFWA would also provide employment with various grants for post-flood
rehabilitation.
The Bafwa president expressed firm commitment to stand beside the helpless
people affected by the floods.
She announced the distribution of corrugated iron sheets by Bafwa to
facilitate housing for the homeless and the distribution of cattle by BAFWA
with the aim of creating employment.
