DHAKA, June 22, 2022 (BSS) - Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today said the government will plant about 5,000 saplings of tree in the historic Suhrawardy Udyan here.

He told the inaugural function of the tree plantation programme as the chief guest in city's Suhrawardy Udyan.

He said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had delivered speeches of March 7, 1971 at Suhrawardy Udyan with the call for freedom of Bangladesh. Besides, the then Pakistani army surrender here, he added.
