DHAKA, June 17, 2022 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.

Day temperature may fall by (1-3)degree Celsius and night temperature may fall by (1-2) degree Celsius over the country, according to a weather forecast which will be valid for next twenty-four hours commencing from 9am on Friday.

Trough of low extended from Bihar to West Bengal persists. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

Country's highest temperature on Thursday was recorded by 36.0 degree Celsius at Chauadanga and minimum temperature today was recorded by 23.0 degree Celsius jointly at Netrokona and Sitakunda.

The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours recorded by 109 millimeters (mm) at Rangpur.
