CHATTOGRAM, June 14, 2022 (BSS) - Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been closed sine die following a tense situation on the campus between two the groups of students today.

 
Meanwhile, the CUET authorities asked the male students to vacate their hostels by 5 pm today and female students by 10 am on Wednesday.

Earlier, the authorities at an emergency meeting of the academic council decided to close the university with its Vice Chancellor Rafiqul Islam in the chair.
 
According to sources in the meeting, it has been decided to close all the undergraduate academic activities and residential halls of the university from today till July 5 to remove the tension among the conflicting students.
 
However, all the ongoing academic activities at the postgraduate level students will continue as usual.
 
At the same time, academic activities will be closed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha from July 6 to July 14.
