DHAKA, May 14, 2022 (BSS) - The met office today predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places of the country in the next 24 hours as of 9am tomorrow.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions," said a met office release here today.

However, the day temperature may rise by (1-2) degree Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was 22.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 200 mm at Dinajpur.

The sun sets at 6.33 pm today and rises at 5.16 am tomorrow in the capital.
