DHAKA, April 1, 2022 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today conferred lifetime achievement award (Ajibon Sammanona Puroskar) to singer Hasina Momtaz at a programme in city's Banani area.

Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, gave the award in a programme organized by Bangladesh Sangeet Parishad.

The award was given to Hasina Momtaz in recognition of her special contribution to creating awareness and compassion in music arena.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam attended the programme as special guest.   

With Bangladesh Sangeet Parishad president Ashiqur Rahman in the chair, a number of artistes including Bangladesh Sangeet Parishad's joint secretary Debashish Hossain Bhuiyan, vice president Sheikh Sadi Khan, Khorshed Alam and Dalia Nowshin were also present, among others.
