DHAKA, March 25, 2022 (BSS) - A court here today set May 23 for submitting
report on investigation in a case lodged over the murder of former general
secretary of Motijheel Awami League (AL) Jahidul Islam Tipu.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Nurul Huda Chowdhury set the date
after accepting first information report (FIR) filed in the case.

Tipu, who was on his microbus destined for his Khilgaon home, was shot dead
by a masked assailant in the capital's Shahjahanpur area on Thursday night. A
rickshaw passenger Samia Afran Prity was also got shot and died on the spot.
Tipu's driver Munna got shot on his hand in the incident.

Tipu's wife Farhana Islam Dolly filed the case this morning with Shahjahanpur
Police station.
