DHAKA, March 15, 2019 (BSS) - The Jatka (hilsa fry) Conservation Week-2022
will be observed from March 31 to April 6 aiming to create awareness about
the preservation of hilsa fry and discourage all concerned including
fishermen from catching it.
 
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Task Force on Hilsha
Resource Development at the conference room of the Department of Fisheries at
Matsya Bhaban here today, said a press release.
 
Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Dr Mohammad Yamin
Chowdhury presided over the meeting, the release added.
