Novoair to resume Kolkata flight from March 27

DHAKA, March 16, 2022 (BSS) – Novoair, one of the country’s private
Airliners, has decided to resume its flight to Kolkata from March 27.

This decision came up as the Civil Aviation of India has given
permission to operate schedule commercial flights from March 27.

The airliner will operate daily flights to the neighboring capital
city of India’s West Bengal state, a Novoair press said today.

The daily flights will depart from Dhaka at 5:20 pm (Local time) and
depart from Kolkata at 6:40 pm (Local time), the release added.

Earlier, Commercial flights to and from Kolkata were suspended from
March 25, 2020 as per directive of the Civil Aviation of India to
curb coronavirus infection.

However, during this period special flights were operated between two
countries under the ‘Air bubble agreement’.

Currently, Novoair operates daily flights from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar,
Chattogram, Saidpur, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal and Rajshahi.
