DHAKA, March 4, 2022 (BSS)–Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has

arrested five members of an organized mobile phone snatching
ring during a drive in Sonargaon area of Narayanganj.

The arrested are: Md Jahangir, 40, Md Saju Mandal alias
Sahajul ,45, Md Zakir Hossain ,34, Md Rasel alias Mithu ,30
and Moktar Hossain ,33.

RAB-3 personnel Mohammad Khairul Kabir confirmed the
matter to BSS today.

He said an elite team of RAB-3 conducted a special operation
in Sonargaon police station area on Thursday night and
arrested them.

RAB also recovered 455 different brands of Android and Button
mobile phones and cash of Taka 18,950 from their possession.

During primary quizzing, the arrestees admitted their crimes
of snatching mobile phones in the city.

Legal action has been taken in this regard, RAB sources said.
