DHAKA, Feb 28, 2022 (BSS)- Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of businessman and Pacific Jeans Group chairman Md Nasir Uddin.

In a condolence message, the minister said industrialist Nasir, who had created employment opportunities for about 35,000 people and exported garment items to 25 countries of the world, has established five educational institutions including schools and colleges. 

The contribution of Nasir to the country and its people will ever be remembered, said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary.

The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Nasir died at a hospital in Thailand while undergoing treatment this evening.
