DHAKA, Feb 20, 2022 (BSS) - President M Abdul Hamid today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of eminent poet and former lawmaker Quazi Rosy.

In a condolence message, the president said Quazi Rosy worked to help promote the spirit of the country's Great Liberation War through her writings.

Abdul Hamid also recalled with respect her (Rosy) contribution to the war crimes trial process.

"She also played a key role in the prosecution process against war crimes in 1971," he added.

The head of the state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
