Govt takes initiative to make child-friendly private hospitals in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 17, 2022 (BSS) - Chattogram Divisional Health Director Dr. Hasan Shahriar Kabir said government has taken timely steps to transform the country's private hospitals along with government hospitals into child-friendly one.

“Doctors and nurses need to be more sincere for implementing this initiative at government and private level hospitals,” he added.
 
Dr. Hasan Shahriar Kabir said this as the chief guest while inaugurating a two-day training workshop on 'Child-Friendly Hospital Program' held at the conference room of the Divisional Health Director office in city’s Cinema Palace area.

Junior Health Education Officer Mohammad Hossain conducted the inaugural function with doctors and nurses of private hospitals.

 Deputy Divisional Health Director Dr Shakhawat Ullah, Assistant Divisional Health Director (Administration) Dr Sumon Barua, Professor Dr. Jebin Chowdhury and Chattogram General Hospital Senior Consultant Dr Raushan Ara Begum Shimul provided training to the doctors and nurses of private hospitals on maternal and child health on the first day.

A total of 50 doctors and nurses from the city's private Delta Hospital, Treatment Hospital, Metropolitan Hospital and Royal Hospital participated in the programme.

 The workshop was organized by the Divisional Health Director's Office in cooperation with   Public Health Nutrition Institution under Department of Health.
