Indira inaugurates Shaheed Minar at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Women Training Academy

GAZIPUR, Feb 17, 2022 (BSS) – State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatun Nessa Indira today inaugurated a Shaheed Minar at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Women Training Academy at Zirani in Gazipur in the memory of the Language Movement martyrs.

Speaking as the chief guest in the inaugural programme, the state minister said that through the Shaheed Minar, all will able to know the language movement and the war of liberation.

About Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, she said Bangamata was a fearless companion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman during any struggle or crisis.

The debt of her contribution towards the country will never be paid or fulfilled, she added.

Indira paid homage by placing a wreath at the newly constructed Shaheed Minar and planted saplings next to it.

With Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Department of Women Affairs Farida Pervin in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Md Muhibuzzaman and its director Monowara Ishrat.
