SHARIATPUR, Feb 11, 2022 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem today urged the union parishad chairmen and members to work as the people’s servant.

“You should work for the welfare of the people as they voted you with hopes and aspirations. We must remember that at the end of the day, we have to go to the voters,” he told a view-exchange meeting with the newly elected chairmen and members of Sakhipur of the district.
 
The meeting was held on the premises of Paikbari Amena Raushan Hafezia Madrasha at Charbhaga of Shariatpur, an official release said.
 
Shameem said the people's representatives should work as a servant of the people. “If you work as a servant, people will elect you again and again,” he added.
 
Shariatpur District Awami League president Chabedur Rahman Sikder, vice-president Habibur Rahman Sikder, general secretary Anol Kumar Dey, Vedharganj upazila chairman Alhaj Humayun Kabir Mollah, among others, spoke at the meeting.
