RMCH records four more deaths in Covid-19 unit

 RAJSHAHI, Feb 9, 2022 (BSS) - Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH)
recorded four more deaths in its Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours till
9am today.

    RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani said three of the deceased
were the residents of Rajshahi, while another from Pabna. Two of them died
with Covid-19 infections, while two others were suffering from post-Covid-19
complexities.

    All of them were male. Two of them were sexagenarians, while two others
aged between 51 and 60.  

    Meanwhile, four more patients were admitted to the Covid-19 unit during
the last 24 hours, taking the number of admitted patients to 60, including 45
positive for Covid-19, at present.

    Eleven other patients returned home after being cured during the same
time.

    On the other hand, 134 more patients have tested positive for Covid-19
after testing 468 samples in Rajshahi's two laboratories on Tuesday, showing
24.16 percent positivity rate in Rajshahi district, while 29.31 percent in
Chapainawabganj and 44 percent in Natore districts.
