Mock viva, guideline programme held at DU

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2026 (BSS) - A mock viva and guideline programme was held at Dhaka University's Masterda Surja Sen Hall today to help residential students prepare for the final oral examination of the 50th BCS.

The programme was arranged by Samiul Amin Galib, joint convener of Surja Sen Hall Chhatra Dal, in collaboration with the hall administration.

It aimed to reduce viva-related anxiety, improve preparation and boost the confidence of students who passed the written examination of the 50th BCS.

Dr Md Azharul Islam, a resident teacher of the hall, presided over the programme, while officials from the administration and police cadres served as members of the mock viva board.

Students of the hall awaiting the 50th BCS viva actively participated in the session.

Mallik Wasi Uddin Tami, office secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal; Syed Imam Hasan Anik, secretary for Liberation War Affairs; Atik Mondal, joint convener of Surja Sen Hall Chhatra Dal; Md Kausar Al Mahmud, a member of the convener committee; and other leaders and activists of the hall unit were present.

The participating students welcomed the initiative, saying such mock viva sessions would help them build confidence and identify weaknesses ahead of the actual examination.

The students were greeted with flowers and presented tie clips as commemorative gifts, while they were wished success in their upcoming BCS viva.
