DHAKA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) - Three more children died with suspected measles across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release of the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.
It said 943 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of suspected measles cases from March 15 to August 29 stood at 155,678.
The number of confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours was 57, while the total number of confirmed cases since March 15 stood at 18,853.
From March 15 to August 29, a total of 136,257 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 131,264 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Three people died with suspected measles in the last 24 hours, while a total of 864 children have died of suspected measles since March 15.
No one died of confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, while 99 people have died of confirmed measles since March 15.
