RMCH records four more deaths in Covid-19 unit

  RAJSHAHI, Jan 31, 2022 (BSS) - Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH)
recorded four more deaths in its Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours till
9am today.

  RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani said two of the deceased
were the residents of Rajshahi, while two others were from Chapainawabganj
district.

  All of them died with Covid-19 symptoms, he said. Meanwhile, nine more
patients were admitted to the Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours, taking
the number of admitted patients to 63, including 36 positive for Covid-19, at
present.

   Nine other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.

  On the other hand, 224 more patients were found Covid-19 positive after
testing 639 samples in Rajshahi's two laboratories on Sunday, showing 40.82
percent infection rate in Rajshahi, while 24.7 percent in Joypurhat, 13.33
percent in Chapainawabganj and 11.11 percent in Natore districts.
