Architect Kashef raises country's image abroad: Salman

   DHAKA, Jan 29, 2022 (BSS) - Salman Fazlur Rahman, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, congratulated architect Kashef Mahbub Chowdhury today for being awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

   In a congratulatory message, he said that architect Kashef Mahbub Chowdhury has raised Bangladesh's image before the world as the Friendship Hospital of Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira, Bangladesh has been recognized the 'Best New Building in the World' of 2021, said a press release.

   He mentioned that Kashef is an architect with unique creative ability who always thinks of doing something different. Kashef's thinking is not limited to the construction of buildings rather his new idea has opened the door to construct environment friendly establishments with easy ventilation facilities, he said.

  The adviser said that other architects will come forward to construct new eco-friendly buildings at a cheaper cost following the footprint of

  Mr Kashef's new invention and idea.

   The award is given to an organization that sets an example around the world and can have a positive impact on the society.

   The jury has described Satkhira Friendship Hospital, established in a climate effected remote area in the southern part of Bangladesh, a 'humanitarian architecture'.

   The adviser also said that Architect Kashef, who has already won many accolades, including the Aga Khan Award, would upright the country's flag many more times with his extraordinary creativity.
