Appellate Division gets 4 new judges

  
DHAKA, Jan 09, 2022 (BSS) - Four High Court judges were elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court today, bringing the total number of judges at the apex court to eight.
  
President M Abdul Hamid made the appointment as per article 95 (1) of the constitution, a Law and Justice Division gazette notification said.
  
The four judges are- Justice Borhanuddin, Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan, Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Krishna Debnath.
  
Of the four, Justice Borhanuddin, Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Krishna Debnath took the oath this morning, while Justice Ahasan would take the oath later as he is undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
  
Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique administered the oath to the three judges at the Supreme Court judges lounge.
