DHAKA, Jan 8, 2022 (BSS) - Dainik Janakantho senior reporter Md Shariful Islam and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) senior reporter Md Sajjad Hossain have been made president and general secretary respectively of the Cumilla Journalists' Forum, Dhaka (CJFD) respectively for the next two years.

  A 43-member full-fledged committee of the CJFD was announced today following a decision of its biannual general meeting held at the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Friday, said a press release.

  Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam was present at the meeting as the chief guest.

  Other office bearers are: vice-presidents Sayeed Ahmed Khan (Inqilab) and Faruk Khan (Bangladesh Kantha), joint-secretaries M Mosharraf Hossain (Desh Sangbad) and Saiful Islam (GTV), treasurer Shahidul Islam (sbc71.com), organizing secretary Salah Uddin Jasim (Jagonews24.com), office secretary Tahmina Akter (Dainik Kalbela), information technology secretary Manir Millat (Ekattor TV), education and training affairs secretary Mohammad Abu Naser (SA TV), publicity secretary Shariful Islam (The Report), publication secretary Imran Mahfuz (The Daily Star), sports and cultural affairs secretary Solaiman Salman (Daily Sun), social welfare secretary Halim Mohammad (Sangbad Sarabela), international affairs secretary Kamal Chowdhury (South Asian Times) and event-reception affairs secretary Jahir Alam Sikder.

  Md Didarul Alam Didar of BSS is among the executive committee members. The committee also included 26 executive members.
