DHAKA, Jan 2, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League advisory Council member and 14-party alliance spokesman Ami Hossain Amu today said the incumbent government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to reach country's taste of Independence at people's doorsteps.

   He said this while addressing a discussion of Social Services Day as the chief guest virtually organized by Jhalakathi District administration and Department of Social Services at Jhalakathi.

   The present government also has taken different steps to build a Golden Bangla dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.

   Besides, distribution of identity cards for persons with disabilities, distribution of micro loan, awarding for social workers and beneficiaries and distribution of prizes and cultural programs were held.

   Deputy Commissioner of Jhalakathi Md Johor Ali presided over the ceremony while Sador Upazila social service officer Asaduzzaman conducted it.

   Zilla Parishad Chairman and District Awami League President Sardar Shah Alam, Department of social service deputy Director Parvin and Sonak President Hemayet Uddin Himu, among others, were present.
