DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh military and the U.S. Marines military personnel today held a joint physical fitness exercise in Dhaka to strengthen camaraderie, teamwork and defense cooperation between the two countries.

The camaraderie-building event took place at the Bangladesh Army Stadium, centering on the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test, and aimed at promoting mutual trust, readiness and coordination among participating service members, said a US embassy press release here today. 

A representative of the U.S. Defense Attaché Office said the exercise reflected the enduring partnership between the United States and Bangladesh, adding that training side by side reinforces trust and teamwork essential for regional security.

The joint activity builds on longstanding U.S.-Bangladesh military cooperation encompassing joint training, humanitarian assistance, disaster response and professional military education.

The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka reiterated its commitment to advancing defense collaboration and further deepening ties between the armed forces of the two nations.
