KHULNA, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) – BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-2 constituency and former MP Nazrul Islam Manju today said a festive mood is prevailing among voters ahead of the upcoming national election scheduled for February 12.
“We are receiving an overwhelming response during our campaign. People are welcoming us with smiling faces,” he added.
Manju made the remarks while carrying out electioneering and public outreach at Rupsha Stand Road, Chanmari Bazar, Christian Para, and other areas of Ward No-30 this morning.
He said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia remains the most popular leader among the people of Bangladesh, noting that the nation has not yet overcome the grief since her departure.
“Our leader Tarique Rahman has returned to Bangladesh after 17 years with a concrete action plan,” he said, expressing optimism that the upcoming election would be held in a participatory, peaceful, and festive atmosphere.
“The overall voting environment is very positive, and there is no concern over security,” he added.
Among others, Professor Arifuzzaman Apu, Mohibuzzaman Kachi, Hasanur Rashid Miraj, Mahbub Hasan Piaru, Ekramul Haque Helal, Sher Alam Santu, Advocate Masum Rashid, KM Humayun Kabir, Yusuf Harun Majnu, Niaz Ahmed Tuhin, Shamsuzzaman Chanchal, Kamran Hasan, Alamgir Kabir, and Mir Kabir Hossain were present during the campaign.
