KHULNA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Election symbols have been allocated among 38 
candidates contesting in six parliamentary constituencies of Khulna for the 
upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Elections.

Khulna District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner ASM Jamshed 
Khondker handed over the symbols to the candidates and their representatives 
on Wednesday morning.

In Khulna-1 (Dacope-Batiaghata), 12 candidates are in the race. Of them, BNP 
candidate Amir Ejaz Khan was allotted the Sheaf of Paddy (Dhaner Shish), 
Jatiya Party's Md Jahangir Hossain the Plow (Langol), Jamaat-e-Islami's 
Krishna Nandi the Scales (Daripalla), Islamic Andolon Bangladesh's Md Abu 
Sayeed the Hand Fan (Hat Pakha), CPB's Kishore Kumar Roy the Sickle (Kaste), 
and others received symbols including Candle, Star, Rocket, Pen, Horse, 
Pitcher and Truck.

In Khulna-2 (Sadar-Sonadanga), three candidates are contesting. Jamaat-e-
Islami's Sheikh Jahangir Hossain Helal received the Scales, BNP's Nazrul 
Islam Manju the Sheaf of Paddy, and Islamic Andolon Bangladesh's Amanullah 
received the Hand Fan.

In Khulna-3 (Khalishpur-Daulatpur-Arangghata), 10 candidates were allotted 
symbols. BNP's Rakibul Islam received the Sheaf of Paddy, Jamaat's Mohammad 
Mahfuzur Rahman received the Scales, Islamic Andolon's Md AA Auwal got the 
Hand Fan while others received symbols such as Kite, Football, Ladder, Lion, 
Plow, Ship and Deer.

In Khulna-4 (Rupsha-Terokhada-Dighalia), four candidates are contesting. 
BNP's SK Azizul Bari received the Sheaf of Paddy, Islamic Andolon's Yunus 
Ahmed Sheikh got the Hand Fan, Khelafat Majlis' SM Sakhawat Hossain received 
the Wall Clock, and an independent candidate got the Football symbol.

In Khulna-5 (Dumuria-Phultala), Jamaat-e-Islami's Golam Parwar received the 
Scales, BNP's Mohammad Ali Asgar got the Sheaf of Paddy, CPB's Chitta Ranjan 
Goldar received the Sickle and Jatiya Party's Shamim Ara Parveen Yasmin 
received the Plough symbol.

In Khulna-6 (Koyra-Paikgachha), Jamaat's Md Abul Kalam Azad received the 
Scales, BNP's S M Monirul Hasan Bappi received the Sheaf of Paddy, Islamic 
Andolon's Md Asadul Fakir got the Hand Fan, CPB's Prashanta Kumar Mondal 
received the Sickle, and Jatiya Party's Md Mostafa Kamal Jahangir got the 
Plow symbol.
