DHAKA, Aug 23, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today granted one day remand each for 15 accused arrested in a case for allegedly planning sabotage and terrorist activities in the capital's Bashundhara Residential Area marking August 15.

The 15 accused are-Limon Khan, Dewan Ismail, Fahim Miah, Ratan, Rabbi alias Rafi, Ratul Shil, Minarul Miah, Masud Rana, Jihad Hasan, Abu Saim alias Sayem Babu, Fahim, Shakil Miah, Rajib, Sani and Rajon Miah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Riad Hasan passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place them on a seven-day remand in the case.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kamal Uddin on August 19 placed 15 other accused on a three-day remand each in the same case.

Earlier, on the night of August 13, police arrested 52 people during a raid on a second-floor flat of a house on Road No 28 in M-Block of Bashundhara Residential Area under Bhatara Police Station.

The following day, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam sent them to jail.
