RAJSHAHI, Sept 3, 2026 (BSS)- On the occasion of the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), a program of fish release and tree plantation was held in Rajshahi.
 
  Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Sweet released various species of fish in the RDA Park and Bhadra Lake of the Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA).
 
At that time, about one maund of various species of fish, including Rui and Katla, were released into the lake.
Those concerned said that this initiative has been taken with the aim of increasing fish production in the water body, conserving biodiversity and maintaining environmental balance.
 
Along with releasing fish, the RDA Chairman also planted several saplings in the RDA Park as part of the tree plantation program.
 
 Former Jubodal convener Abdul Quader Bakul, former president of Ward number 27 BNP Abdus Sattar, former organizational secretary Mahbubul Haque Minu and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present at the event.
 
In this program,  organized on the occasion of BNP's founding anniversary, emphasis was placed on protecting the natural environment of the water body, increasing fish production and conserving local aquatic resources.
